Ornate Coptic Cross from Dessie, Ethopia

One of our more ornate designs, this cross was acquired in Dessie, Ethiopia. The name Dessie means "My Joy" in amharic, the language spoken in north central Ethiopia. Handmade using melted coin silver in the 1800's this is a beautiful example of work by an expert silversmith with both sides intricately patterned.
